Harvest is a workshop that aims to educate students in woodwork design and manufacturing in order to provide contemporary, restructured furniture for offices.
At the heart of the workshop's ethos is the desire to promote the re-using and re-purposing of old office furniture, in order to be more ecological with unwanted materials.
Harvest - Part one, is the interactive postal invitation that catches the eye of the two target audiences, students and office workers. Cutting the rubber, the wooden box falls apart in front of it viewer, the stapler is the invitation, that directs the viewer to the Harvest website to discover more information.
Harvest - Part two, photographically documents the journey of the piece of old furniture through each stage of the Harvest workshop. The images are in parallel contrasted with photographs of environments of decay and waste - showing the alternative unsustainable path that the piece of furniture could have taken.
